Hadith 1153:903
'Affan narrated to us, he said: Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us, he said: Thabit informed us, from Anas, and Hisham ibn 'Urwah, from 'Urwah, from 'Aishah, that the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, heard voices, so he said: "What are these voices?" They said: "The palm trees, they are pollinating them, O Messenger of Allah." He said: "If they did not do it, it would be fine." So they did not pollinate them that year, and it became shis (shriveled/inferior dates). They mentioned that to the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and he said: "If it is something of your worldly affairs, then you are responsible for it, and if it is something of your religious affairs, then it is up to me."
