Hadith 1153:967
'Affan narrated to us, he said: Hammad bin Zayd narrated to us, he said: Ma'mar and Nu'man, or one of them, narrated to us, from al-Zuhri, from 'Urwah, from 'Aishah, she said: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) never cursed a Muslim with a curse that is mentioned, nor did he ever take revenge for himself for anything done to him, unless the sanctities of Allah the Almighty were violated. He never struck anything with his hand at all, unless he was striking with it in the way of Allah. He was never asked for anything at all and refused it, unless he was asked for a sin, for he was the furthest of people from it. He was never given a choice between two matters but that he chose the easiest of them. And when he was recently in the company of Jibril (peace be upon him) studying with him, he was more generous with good than the sent wind."
