'Attab ibn Ziyad narrated to us, 'Abdullah—meaning Ibn al-Mubarak—narrated to us, Yunus informed us, from al-Zuhri, from al-Sa'ib ibn Yazid and 'Ubaydullah ibn 'Abdullah ibn 'Utbah, from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn 'Abd [al-Qari], from 'Umar ibn al-Khattab—'Abdullah said: And my father attributed it to the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him—he said: "Whoever misses any of his *wird*—or he said: his *hizb*—of the night, and then recites it between the dawn prayer and the noon prayer, it is as if he had recited it during his night."
