Musnad Ahmad 2:174

Yahya narrated to us, from Ubaydullah, Nafi’ narrated to me, from Ibn Umar, from Umar, that he said: "O Messenger of Allah, I vowed during the Jahiliyyah to perform I’tikaf in the Sacred Mosque for one night." He said to him: "Then fulfill your vow."
