Musnad Ahmad 2:21

Muhammad ibn Yazid narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Ishaq narrated to us, he said: Al-Ala’ ibn Abd al-Rahman ibn Ya’qub narrated to us, from a man of Quraysh from Banu Sahm, from a man among them who was called Majidah, he said: I wrestled a boy in Makkah, and he bit my ear and cut a piece off it—or I bit his ear and cut a piece off it. When Abu Bakr, may Allah be pleased with him, came to us on pilgrimage, we brought the matter to him. He said: "Take them both to Umar ibn al-Khattab. If the one who caused the injury has reached the age where retaliation can be taken from him, then let retaliation be taken." He said: When we were brought to Umar, he looked at us and said: "Yes, this one has reached the age where retaliation can be taken from him. Call a cupper (hajjam) for me." When the cupper was mentioned, he said: "As for me, I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, say: 'I have given my maternal aunt a boy, and I hope that Allah will bless her in him, but I have forbidden her from making him a cupper, a butcher, or a goldsmith.'"
