Musnad Ahmad 2:214

'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, Sufyan informed us, from Abu Ishaq, from 'Amr ibn Maymun, who said: I heard 'Umar ibn al-Khattab saying: The people of the Jahiliyyah would not depart from Jam' (Muzdalifah) until they saw the sun upon Thabir. They used to say: "Shine, Thabir, so that we may depart." Then the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, departed before the rising of the sun.
