Hadith 2:287

Bahz narrated to us. He said: And 'Affan narrated to us, they both said: Hammam narrated to us, Qatadah narrated to us, from Abu Nadrah, who said: I said to Jabir ibn 'Abdullah: "Indeed, Ibn al-Zubayr forbids the Mut'ah (temporary marriage), while Ibn 'Abbas commands it." He said: So he said to me: "The matter occurred at my hands. We performed Mut'ah with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him" - 'Affan said: "And with Abu Bakr." "Then, when 'Umar assumed authority, he addressed the people and said: 'Indeed, the Qur'an is the Qur'an, and the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, is the Messenger. And indeed, there were two Mut'ahs during the time of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him: one of them is the Mut'ah of Hajj, and the other is the Mut'ah of women.'"
