Musnad Ahmad 2:46

'Affan narrated to us, Abu 'Awanah narrated to us, from Sulayman al-A'mash, from Shaqiq, from Salman ibn Rabi'ah, who said: I heard 'Umar saying: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) made a distribution. I said: "O Messenger of Allah, others are more deserving of this than these people: the People of the Suffah." He said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: "You are forcing me to choose between asking me with indecency or accusing me of stinginess, and I am not stingy."
