Hadith 2:76

Hushaym narrated to us, Humayd informed us, from Anas, who said: Umar said: I agreed with my Lord in three things: I said, "O Messenger of Allah, if only we took the Station of Abraham as a place of prayer." Then it was revealed: "And take from the Station of Abraham a place of prayer" [Al-Baqarah: 125]. And I said, "O Messenger of Allah, the righteous and the wicked enter upon your wives, so if only you would command them to veil themselves?" Then the verse of the veil was revealed. And the wives of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) gathered together out of jealousy, so I said to them: "Perhaps his Lord, if he divorced you, would substitute for him wives better than you" [At-Tahrim: 5]. He said: So it was revealed likewise.
