Musnad 'Ali Ibn Abi Talib

وَمِنْ مُسْنَدِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ

Hadith 5:222

Sahih because of corroborating evidence; this is a Da'if isnad because of the weakness of Muhammad bin Jabir Al-Yamami] (Darussalam)

It was narrated from `Ali bin Abi Talib (رضي الله عنه) that he said:

My ears heard and my heart understood from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ): “The people follow Quraish: the righteous ones follow their righteous ones and the evil ones follow their evil ones.`

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، لُوَيْنٌ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَابِرٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ، رُوَيْبَةَ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ سَمِعَتْ أُذُنَايَ، وَوَعَاهُ، قَلْبِي عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ النَّاسُ تَبَعٌ لِقُرَيْشٍ صَالِحُهُمْ تَبَعٌ لِصَالِحِهِمْ وَشِرَارُهُمْ تَبَعٌ لِشِرَارِهِمْ
