Hadith 44:214

Sahih (Darussalam)

It was narrated from Iyas that:

the Messenger of Allah forbade selling surplus water. The keeper of al-Wahat sold the surplus water of al-Wahat, and 'Abdullah bin 'Arm disapproved of that.

أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ أَبِي الْمِنْهَالِ، عَنْ إِيَاسٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ فَضْلِ الْمَاءِ . وَبَاعَ قَيِّمُ الْوَهْطِ فَضْلَ مَاءِ الْوَهْطِ فَكَرِهَهُ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو
