Verse range: 10:56
(He gives life and causes death) in this world, without anyone having any influence in that. According to what is understood from the words of some, this is an inference for the Resurrection and the Gathering, in the sense that He, the Exalted, performs giving life and causing death in the world, and thus He is capable of both in the Hereafter; for the one who is capable by His essence, His capability does not cease, and the substance that is inherently receptive to life and death is receptive to them forever. It is not hidden that the mention of capability is digressive and has no involvement in the inference for that [Resurrection]. The apparent meaning to me is that it is, like what preceded it, a concluding supplement to what came before it. (And to Him you will be returned) in the Hereafter through Resurrection and Gathering.
