Tafsir of Hud 11:19

(And those who avert), meaning everyone who is capable of averting [others] or who actively engages in averting, (from the way of Allah), meaning His upright religion; applying this term to it is metaphorical, just as it is for the "Straight Path."

(And seek it to be crooked), meaning they attribute deviation to it. The intent is that they describe it as such, while it is the furthest thing from it. Applying the term "seeking" to the act of "describing" is a metaphor involving the application of the cause to the effect. It is also permissible that the speech implies a deleted genitive addition—meaning: they seek for its followers to deviate from it and apostatize. It has been said: the meaning is that they seek it [the path] while it is in a state of crookedness; "crookedness" (ʿiwajan) being in the accusative case as a direct object, or it being a state (hal), interpreted as "while they are deviating."

(And they, concerning the Hereafter, are disbelievers), meaning, and the state of the matter is that they do not believe in the Hereafter. The repetition of the pronoun is for the confirmation of their disbelief and their exclusivity in it; for it serves the function of a separator (fasl), thereby conveying specialization and a form of emphasis. This specialization is performative (idda’i) as a hyperbole regarding their disbelief in the Hereafter—as if the disbelief of others in it is not [truly] disbelief compared to theirs. It has been said that the repetition is for emphasis, and the bringing forward of "concerning the Hereafter" is for specialization. However, the preferable view is that its placement is for the sake of the verse endings.
