Surah Al-Hijr 15:82
ﲃ ﲄ ﲅ ﲆ ﲇ ﲈ
And they used to carve from the mountains, houses, feeling secure.

82. And they used to carve houses from the mountains, [being] secure.
[They were secure] from the descent of punishment upon them. It is also said: [secure] from death, due to their being deluded by long lifespans. It is also said: [secure] from collapse, the tunneling of thieves, and the banding together of enemies, due to their immense sturdiness. Ibn Atiyyah said: The most correct interpretation that appears to me regarding this is that they were secure regarding the consequences of the Hereafter; thus, they would not act in accordance with it, but rather they would act in accordance with [this] sense of security.
