Tafsir of Al-Baqarah 2:242

(Thus): That is, in a manner similar to that clear explanation of the preceding rulings, (does Allah make clear to you His verses): those that indicate what you require for your livelihood and your return [to the Hereafter], (that you might use reason): meaning, so that your intellects may become complete, or so that you may direct your intellects toward them, or so that you may understand what I intend by them.
