Verse range: 2:277
(Indeed, those who believed) in that which it is obligatory to believe, (and did) deeds of (righteous deeds) in the manner they were commanded, (and established prayer and gave zakah)—specifying them with mention, despite their inclusion within righteous deeds, is to alert to the greatness of their merit; for the former is the greatest of physical acts, and the latter is the best of financial acts—(they shall have their reward) promised to them, (with their Lord), and in this expression is increased grace and honor, (and there will be no fear upon them, nor will they grieve), signifying the completeness of their portion.
