Tafsir
Verse range: 20:125
(He said, "My Lord, why have You raised me up blind, while I was endowed with sight?")
This is a resumption [of the narrative], as has previously passed.
"While I was endowed with sight" — that is, in the worldly life, as is apparent. Perhaps this is in consideration of the majority of those who turned away, for among them are some who were blind from birth in the world.
It is apparent that this question concerns the reason for which he deserved to be raised up blind, for he was ignorant, or he assumed that he had no sin for which he deserved such a thing.
