Surah Ta-Ha 20:60

ﲞ ﲟ ﲠ ﲡ ﲢ ﲣ

So Pharaoh went away, put together his plan, and then came [to Moses].

Taha: 60

(So Pharaoh turned away) meaning: he departed from the assembly. It is also said: he took the matter into his own hands, though that is not the preferred interpretation. It is further said: he turned away from accepting the truth, though that is of no consequence.

(And gathered his cunning) meaning: those he uses to deceive, from among the sorcerers and their instruments, or those who possess his cunning.

(Then he came) meaning: to the appointed time, accompanied by what he had gathered. The use of the word denoting sequence with a delay (thumma) serves as an indication that he did not hasten towards it, but rather arrived after hesitation and delay.
