Tafsir of Al-Hajj 22:59

His saying, the Exalted: "He will surely admit them to an entrance they will be pleased with"—this is an initiation reinforcing the content of His saying, the Glorified: "Allah will surely provide for them," or it is a substitute for it intended to emphasize it.

"Entrance" (madkhal) is either a noun of place, by which Paradise is intended, as Al-Suddi and others have said, or specific ranks within it reserved for those Emigrants, as has been said. It is also said that it is a tent of a single hollow pearl, having no cleft or flaw, with seventy thousand doors. Or, it is a verbal noun (masdar mimi); under the first possibility, it is the second object of "admit," and under the second, it is an absolute object. It is described as "they will be pleased with it" in both possibilities because, when they are admitted, they will see what no eye has seen, no ear has heard, and has not crossed the heart of any human. It is said regarding the second [possibility] that their pleasure is due to the fact that their admission will be without any hardship befalling them, but rather with ease and honor.

The people of Medina read "entrance" (madkhal) with a fatha (on the meem), while the others read it with a damma.

"And indeed, Allah is All-Knowing" of what pleases them, so He grants it to them, or He is All-Knowing of their conditions and the conditions of their enemies against whom they emigrated to strive.

"Forbearing"—so He does not hasten the punishment of their enemies. In this, the relevance of this attribute to what preceded it becomes apparent, and it also contains a relevance to what follows it.
