And indeed, you invite them to a straight path.
Tafsir
Verse range: 23:73
Sound intellects testify to its straightness; it contains no taint of crookedness that would necessitate accusation.
It has been stated: "The Almighty has bound them with the argument and removed their excuses in these verses, for the one sent to them is a man whose affairs are known, whose inner and outer life has been tested, and who is worthy of being chosen for the message from among them. He presented himself to them such that he would not claim such a momentous claim falsely, nor did he make that a ladder to attain their worldly goods or solicit their wealth. He invited them to nothing other than the religion of Islam, which is the straight path, while exposing their hidden maladies—namely, their failure to reflect and contemplate, their reckless adherence to the religion of misguided forefathers without proof, their pretext that he is 'possessed' after the truth had become manifest and confirmation had been established by Allah the Almighty through miracles and luminous signs, and their hatred of the truth and turning away from that which contains their preservation through the Reminder."
This is of an excellent status.
