Say, "Who is Lord of the seven heavens and Lord of the Great Throne?"

(Say, "Who is the Lord of the seven heavens and the Lord of the Great Throne?")
The word "Lord" (al-Rabb) is repeated to exalt the status of the Throne and to elevate its position above being merely subordinate to the heavens in both existence and mention. Ibn Muhaysin read al-‘aẓīm (the Great) in the nominative case (al-raf‘), as an adjective for the Lord.
