ﱁ ﱂ ﱃ ﱄ ﱅ ﱆ
He said, "And what is my knowledge of what they used to do?

(He said: "And what knowledge have I of what they used to do?")
That is: My duty is only to consider outward appearances and base judgments upon them, not to spy upon or investigate what is hidden. "What" (Ma) is interrogative. Al-Hufi and Al-Tabarsi said it is negative, and according to this, there is an omission in the speech, meaning: "And I have no knowledge of what they used to do."
