Surah Ash-Shu`ara' 26:119
ﱵ ﱶ ﱷ ﱸ ﱹ ﱺ
So We saved him and those with him in the laden ship.

*Fanjaynahu waman ma’ahu* (So We saved him and those with him)
(In accordance with his supplication, peace be upon him)
*Fil-fulkil mashhun* (In the laden ship)
Meaning: The ship filled with them and with what they required—whether presently, such as food, or potentially, such as animals.
The word al-fulk is used for both singular and plural. Wherever it occurs in the Noble Quran as a terminal verse (end of an ayah), it is used in the singular; where it does not occur as a terminal verse, it is used in the plural, as stated in al-Bahr.
