Tafsir of Ash-Shu`ara' 26:65

Meaning: We saved them from destruction at the hands of their enemies and from drowning in the sea through His preservation, in that state, until they emerged onto land.

It has been said: "And those with him" is used to indicate that their salvation was through the blessing of accompanying Moses—peace be upon him—and following him.

It has also been said: It is to include those who believed in him—peace be upon him—from among the Copts; for if it had been said "and his people," the mind would have immediately gone to the Children of Israel, and therein lies a point of discussion.
