Surah An-Naml 27:57
ﱓ ﱔ ﱕ ﱖ ﱗ ﱘ ﱙ
So We saved him and his family, except for his wife; We destined her to be of those who remained behind.

An-Naml: (57) So We saved him and his family except...
(So We saved him and his family) meaning after the destruction of the people, so the fa (particle) indicates an implicit antecedent.
(Except his wife)
(We determined her) meaning We decreed that she would be among those who remain.
(Meaning) those who remain in the punishment. The addition of an implicit noun is necessary because the decree relates to the action, not the essence.
It has come in another verse what necessitates this, which is His saying, the Exalted: (We determined that she is of those who remain behind).
Abu Bakr recited it as qaddarnaha (قدرناها) with a light dal.
