Indeed, this Qur'an relates to the Children of Israel most of that over which they disagree.

Indeed, this Qur'an relates to the Children of Israel most of that over which they disagree.
Tafsir
Verse range: 27:76
(Verily, this Quran narrates to the Children of Israel most of that in which they differ.)
When He, Glorified be He, mentioned that which pertains to the origin and the return, He, Exalted be He, mentioned that which pertains to Prophethood. For the Quran is the greatest evidence by which the Prophethood of our Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, is established. Thus, He, Majestic and Exalted, mentioned that it narrates to the Children of Israel—and they are, as narrated from Qatadah, the Jews and the Christians—the majority of what has arisen and continued as a matter of their disagreement, and it clarifies to them the truth of the matter therein. That is something that would necessitate their acceptance of Islam had they reflected and been fair; however, they did not do so, and they remained arrogant, just like you, O polytheists.
Among the things in which they differed is the affair of the Messiah, peace be upon him. Some say: He is Allah, Exalted be He; others say: He is the Son of God, Glorified be He; others say: He is the third of three; others say: He is a prophet like other prophets, peace be upon them; and others say: He is—far be it from him—a liar in his claim of Prophethood, and they attribute to Mary, may Allah be pleased with her, that which she is exalted above. These are the Jews, who belied him.
Regarding the Prophet whose coming was foretold in the Torah, some say: He is Joshua, peace be upon him; others say: He is Jesus, peace be upon him; and others say: He has not yet come, but will come at the end of time.
Among the things in which they also differed is the matter of the swine; the Jews claimed its consumption is forbidden, while the Christians claimed it is permissible, among other such matters.
