Open in Qurani

(And those who believe and do righteous deeds, We will surely remove from them their misdeeds) — whether it be original disbelief or that which arises incidentally through faith and disobedience, [offset] by the acts of obedience that follow them — (and We will surely reward them the best of what they used to do).

That is: the best of their deeds' rewards. A "good reward" is that one is recompensed for a good deed with a [similar] good deed, and the "best reward" is that a single good deed is recompensed with ten or more. It has been said: If it were interpreted as "We will surely reward them with the best of their deeds" or "a reward for the best of their deeds" — to exclude permissible acts — it would be valid.
