Tafsir

(The truth is from your Lord): A predicate for an omitted subject, meaning: "It is the truth," and it refers to the exposition and the narratives previously mentioned. The prepositional phrase is a circumstantial qualifier (hal) for the pronoun within the predicate. It is also permitted that (Al-Haqq) be the subject and (min rabbika) be its predicate, though the first is favored because the intent is to signify that the nature of ‘Isa being a created being, just like Adam—upon them both be peace—is "the truth," and not what the Christians claim. Applying the subject-predicate structure to this meaning is only possible by resorting to the affectation of intending that all truth, or the genus thereof, is from Allah Almighty, of which this matter is a part; or by interpreting the definite article (al-) as referring to the specific "truth" previously mentioned. It is not hidden what clear subtlety lies in addressing Him—upon whom be the peace and blessings of Allah—through the title of Lordship coupled with its attribution to His pronoun.
(So do not be among the doubters): This is an address to Him—upon whom be the peace and blessings of Allah. It does not matter that the occurrence of doubt from Him—upon whom be peace and prayer—is impossible, as is the case in the saying of the Almighty: "And do not be among the polytheists." Rather, they have mentioned two benefits for this stylistic device:
First, that when He—upon whom be the peace and blessings of Allah—hears such an address, his spiritual enthusiasm is stirred, and he increases in certainty, light upon light.
Second, that the listener is alerted by this address to a momentous matter, and thus desists and restrains himself from what would cause doubt. For if He—upon whom be the peace and blessings of Allah—with his majesty that hopes cannot attain, is addressed in such a manner, then what is to be thought of others? Thus, there is in this an increase in firmness for Him—may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him—and kindness toward others. It is also permitted that this be an address to everyone who encounters it and is suitable for being addressed.
