Tafsir
Verse range: 32:28
And they say—by way of denial and mockery—"When is this victory?" meaning: the adjudication of the dispute between you and us. It is as if this relates to the words of the Exalted: "Indeed, your Lord will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning that over which they used to differ." It is also said: it means the victory over us. Ibn Jarir and Ibn Abi Hatim narrated from Qatadah who said: The Companions, may Allah be pleased with them, said, "We have a day approaching in which we shall find rest and take vengeance." The polytheists said: "When is this victory?" and so on. Thus, it was revealed: "And they say, 'When is this victory, if you are truthful?'" (28)—meaning: in the claim that Allah the Exalted will judge between the righteous and the falsifiers. It is also said: in the claim that Allah the Exalted will grant you victory over us.
