Tafsir
Verse range: 35:19
"And the blind and the seeing are not equal."
This is a conjunction connected to His saying—the Exalted—"And the two seas are not alike." The blind and the seeing are two parables for the disbeliever and the believer, as was stated by Qatadah, al-Suddi, and others. It has also been said that they are two parables for the idol and Allah—the Mighty and Majestic—and thus it is a continuation of His saying—the Exalted—"That is Allah, your Lord; to Him belongs the dominion." The meaning is: Allah—the Exalted—is not equal to what you have worshipped.
