Surah Fatir 35:26
ﲄ ﲅ ﲆ ﲇ ﲈ ﲉ ﲊ ﲋ
Then I seized the ones who disbelieved, and how [terrible] was My reproach.

*Then I seized those who disbelieved*
The explicit noun is used in place of their pronoun to condemn them by means of the content of the relative clause (al-silah), and to signal the reason for the seizure.
So how was My rejection?
That is, how was My denial of them through punishment? In this there is added severity and intimidation. A discussion regarding the parallel to this has already preceded in [Surah] Saba’, so recall it.
The verse contains much by way of consolation for him, may Allah bless him and grant him peace.
