Surah As-Saffat 37:109
ﱢ ﱣ ﱤ
"Peace upon Abraham."
ﱢ ﱣ ﱤ
"Peace upon Abraham."
Tafsir
Verse range: 37:108-109
What is known regarding its explanation has already preceded in the interpretation of its counterpart at the end of the story of Noah. Perhaps the mention of "among the worlds" (al-‘alamin) there, and its omission here, is because Noah—peace be upon him—possesses a level of renown, due to his being a second Adam for humanity and the salvation of those who were saved from the people of the flood by his blessing, which Abraham—peace be upon him—does not possess.
