Tafsir of As-Saffat 37:97

They said, "Construct for him a structure" (A wall within which you kindle a fire; and it is said: a catapult).

"Then cast him into the Hellfire" (Into the intense fire, derived from *al-jahmah*, which is the intensity of flaming and blazing. The *al-* [the definite article] is a substitute for the genitive possessor, or it is for a specific antecedent—meaning the hellfire of that structure, which is within it or by it).
