Tafsir of Sad 38:82

(He said: "By Your Might...")

It is an oath by the authority of Allah Almighty and His subjugation. Just as an oath may be taken by the Essence, it may also be taken by an Attribute. The Ba (in bi-'izzatika) is for the oath, according to the majority. The Fa (in fa-bi-'izzatika) is for ordering the content of the sentence upon the granting of respite; meaning: "So I swear by Your Might, (I will surely mislead them all)."

(Meaning: every individual of this species, by adorning acts of disobedience for them.)
