Tafsir of Az-Zumar 39:37

Surah Az-Zumar 39:37

ﲅ ﲆ ﲇ ﲈ ﲉ ﲊ ﲋ ﲌ ﲍ ﲎ ﲏ ﲐ ﲑ

And whoever Allah guides - for him there is no misleader. Is not Allah Exalted in Might and Owner of Retribution?

Tafsir

Ruh al-Ma'ani

Verse range: 39:37

( And whomever Allah guides )

(Meaning: He places the fact that He, the Exalted, is sufficient for him before his eyes, acting in accordance with what that necessitates.)

( Then there is no misleader for him )

(Meaning: Who turns him away from his objective or afflicts him with an evil that disrupts his conduct, for there is no repeller of His action and no opposer to His will, the Mighty and Majestic, as is articulated by His saying, the Exalted: )

( Is Allah not Exalted in Might )

(Meaning: Overcoming, not to be overcome; impenetrable, not to be obstructed or disputed.)

( Owner of Retribution )

(Meaning: He takes retribution from His enemies for the sake of His allies. The manifestation of the Majestic Name [Allah] in the place of a pronoun is to confirm the content of the speech and to cultivate awe.)
