Or whether [or not] We show you that which We have promised them, indeed, We are Perfect in Ability.
ﲓ ﲔ ﲕ ﲖ ﲗ ﲘ ﲙ
Or whether [or not] We show you that which We have promised them, indeed, We are Perfect in Ability.
Tafsir
Verse range: 43:42
(Or We show you that which We have promised them) meaning: or We wish to show you the punishment that We have promised them (for indeed, We have full power over them).
Meaning: they have no escape from under Our dominion and Our subjugation. The consideration of [the intent of] "will" here is because it is more appropriate when mentioning power immediately afterward. The expression of "promise"—and He, Glory be to Him, does not break the promise—is an indication that it is what will inevitably occur. And so it was, for not one of their chieftains escaped at Badr or elsewhere, except for those who fortified themselves through faith. It is also recited as "nurinaka" (We show you) with a hidden nun.
