Tafsir of Az-Zukhruf 43:73

(For you therein is abundant fruit)—abundant in terms of varieties and types, not merely in terms of individual pieces.

(From which you eat)—meaning, you do not eat except some of it, while the remnants remain upon their trees. Thus, they are perpetually adorned with fruit, laden with them, such that you never see a tree bare of its fruit as is the case in this world. In the Hadith, it is stated: "A man in Paradise does not pluck any of its fruit except that its like grows in its place."

The particle min (from) denotes partiality (tab'idiyyah), though it has been suggested that it signifies origin (ibtida'iyyah). The advancement [of the prepositional phrase] is for relative restriction (al-hasr al-idafi), and it is also said that it is for the sake of the verse-ending.

Perhaps the repetition of the mention of food in the Magnificent Qur'an—despite it being a trifle compared to the other types of bliss in Paradise—is because the people of this world are most in need of it due to their hardship and poverty, so it serves as a consolation for them. It is also said that this is because the majority of those addressed [in the revelation] had their focus limited to eating and drinking, though this is contested as being incomplete. The Sufis have a discourse on this which will be mentioned in its proper places, if Allah, the Almighty and Majestic, wills.
