Tafsir of Ad-Dukhan 44:46

This is an attribute of an omitted verbal noun; that is, "a boiling like the boiling of scalding water." It is also permissible for it to be a circumstantial qualifier (hal). The "scalding water" (al-hamim) is that which is at the utmost degree of heat.
