Tafsir of Al-Jathiyah 45:7

(Woe to every affak): One who engages in excessive ifk, meaning lying.

(Athim): One who engages in excessive sin.

The verse was revealed concerning Abu Jahl; it is also said: concerning al-Nadr ibn al-Harith, who used to purchase the tales of the non-Arabs and distract people with them from listening to the Quran. However, it is general, as is the requirement of "every" (kull), and those concerning whom it was revealed are included in the primary sense.
