Tafsir
Verse range: 47:7
(O you who have believed, if you support Allah) meaning His religion and His Messenger, may Allah Almighty bless him and grant him peace; not that the speech is based on the estimation of an omitted genitive, but rather that "supporting Allah" is a figurative attribution. Supporting Him, Glorified be He, is supporting His Messenger, for He, Majestic is His state and High, is the Helper and Supporter, while other than Him, Glorified be He, is the one being helped and supported. (He will support you) against your enemies, (and grant you victory, and plant firmly your feet)
(In the places of war and its battlefields, or upon the path of Islam. The intended meaning is that He will strengthen you or grant you success in persisting in obedience.) Al-Mufaddal narrated from ‘Asim the reading of (and He will plant firmly) as a lightened form.
