Verse range: 50:35
(For them is whatever they wish) of the various kinds of desires, whatever they may be. (Therein) is connected to "wish," and it is said: it is connected to an implied expression that serves as a state (hal) for the relative pronoun or for its implied referent omitted from its relative clause.
(And with Us is more) This is that which does not cross their minds and does not fall under their wishes, of the sublime honors which no eye has seen, no ear has heard, and has not crossed the heart of any human being. Among these is what Ibn Abi Hatim recorded from Kathir ibn Murrah: that a cloud passes over them and says, "What do you desire that I should rain down upon you?" Thus, they do not desire anything except that it rains it down upon them.
Al-Bayhaqi in al-Ru'yah and al-Daylami recorded from Ali—may Allah, the Exalted, ennoble his countenance—from the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) regarding the words of the Exalted, (And with Us is more): "He said: The Lord, the Almighty and Majestic, manifests Himself to them."
Ibn al-Mundhir and a group of others recorded from Anas that he also said regarding this: "The Lord, Blessed and Exalted, manifests Himself to them every Friday." It came in a hadith recorded by al-Shafi'i in al-Umm and others that the day of Friday is called the "Day of Increase" (Yawm al-Mazid).
It is also said: The "increase" is spouses of the wide-eyed houris, upon whom are crowns, the least pearl of which illuminates what is between the East and the West, and upon each are seventy garments, and the gazer's vision penetrates until he sees the marrow of her shin from behind that.
And it is said: It is the multiplication of the good deed by ten times its like.
