Tafsir of Qaf 50:38

"And We certainly created the heavens and the earth and what is between them" of various types of creation "in six days" regarding which discussion has preceded, "and there touched Us" — meaning, there did not befall Us, despite this being an act that forces and powers cannot fulfill — "no weariness."

"Weariness," and the tanwin (indefinite marking) is for disparagement (of the concept). This is as Qatadah and others have said: a refutation of the ignorant among the Jews who claimed that He, Exalted is His status, began the creation of the world on Sunday, finished it on Friday, rested on Saturday, and reclined upon the Throne. Exalted and High is He above what they say by a great height.

It is reported from al-Dahhak that the verse was revealed when they said that. It is narrated that they claim this is mentioned in the Torah. The sentence "and there touched Us" and what follows may be considered a state (hal) or a new beginning (isti'naf). Al-Sulami, Talha, and Ya'qub read it as laghub with a fatha on the lam, patterned after qabul and wulu', and it is an irregular infinitive, unlike the one with a damma on the lam.
