Surah At-Tur 52:5
ﲚ ﲛ
And [by] the heaven raised high
ﲚ ﲛ
And [by] the heaven raised high
Tafsir
Verse range: 52:5
"And the raised ceiling" (52:5): That is, the heaven, as reported by a group and authenticated by Al-Hakim on the authority of the Commander (Ali), may Allah honor his countenance.
It is also narrated from Ibn Abbas that it is the Throne, which is the ceiling of Paradise; Abu al-Shaykh recorded this from Al-Rabi’ ibn Anas.
Based on this, there is no harm in interpreting the "Much-Frequented House" (al-Bayt al-Ma’mur) as the heaven, as is reported from Mujahid, and its being frequented by the angels as well; for there is not a space in it the size of a hide except that there is an angel upon it, prostrating or standing.
