Surah An-Najm 53:43
ﳧ ﳨ ﳩ ﳪ
And that it is He who makes [one] laugh and weep

And that it is He who made laugh and made weep
[And that it is He who made laugh and made weep]
He created the faculty of laughter and weeping. Al-Zamakhshari said: "He created the powers of laughter and weeping," and in this, there is an intrigue of Mu'tazilism. Al-Tibi said: "The intended meaning is the creation of joy and sadness, or those deeds, righteous or wicked, which cause joy or sadness; and for this reason, He coupled it with His saying..."
