Tafsir
Verse range: 55:51-52
{ In them are two kinds of every fruit }
Two types: a familiar one and an exotic one that they did not know in the world; or moist and dry, with the dry not falling short of the moist in excellence and goodness.
'Abd ibn Humayd, Ibn al-Mundhir, and Ibn Abi Hatim narrated from 'Ikrimah that Ibn 'Abbas said regarding this verse: "There is no fruit in the world, whether sweet or bitter, that is not also in Paradise—even the colocynth." This was also reported in al-Bahr from Ibn 'Abbas with the addition: "Except that in Paradise, it is sweet." The sentence is like the one preceding it.
