Al-Waqi'ah: (24) A reward for what they used to do.
(A reward for what they used to do)
It is an object for a cause (maf’ul lahu) for an omitted verb; that is, "This is done to them as a reward for their deeds," or for that which they persisted in doing. Alternatively, it is an emphatic verbal noun (masdar), meaning "they are rewarded with a reward."
