(For the companions of the right)

(For the companions of the right) relates to "We have created" (ansha'na) or "We have made" (ja'alna). It has been said: It relates to "contemporaries" (atraman), as you would say, "Such-and-such person is a contemporary (tirb) to such-and-such person," meaning his equal. This requires interpretation and has been critiqued on the grounds that even with this, it does not yield much benefit, though this critique is open to scrutiny.

It has also been said: It relates to a suppressed element that functions as an adjective for "virgins" (abkaran), meaning: "existing for the companions of the right." In this case, the apparent noun is used in place of the pronoun either due to the long interval since the mention of the antecedent or for the sake of emphasis and verification.
