Al-Waqi'ah: ( 52 ) "You will certainly eat from trees..."

The first "from" (min) is for the beginning of the extent, and the second is for clarifying and explaining the trees; meaning, you will begin eating from trees that are Zaqqum. It is permitted that the first is partitive (tab'idiyyah), and the second "from" remains as it is. It is also permitted that "of Zaqqum" (min Zaqqum) is a substitute (badal) for His saying, the Exalted: "from trees"; so "from" bears both possibilities. It is said that the first is extra (za'idah). Abdullah [ibn Mas'ud] read it as "from a tree" (min shajaratin), so the aspect of the feminine gender is evident in His saying, the Exalted: ...
