Surah Al-Haqqah 69:22
ﲝ ﲞ ﲟ
In an elevated garden,
ﲝ ﲞ ﲟ
In an elevated garden,
Tafsir
Verse range: 69:22
"In a lofty garden" means elevated in location, for it is in the heavens; thus, the attribution of loftiness to it is literal. It is also permissible that it be metaphorical, though it is literal regarding its degrees, its structures, and the like. Alternatively, there may be an omitted genitive addition (mudaf), meaning: its degrees, its structures, or its trees are lofty.
In al-Bahr [al-Muhit], it is stated that it is lofty in location and in value. It is not hidden that there is eloquence in the use of 'loftiness' regarding both of these aspects.
