Tafsir of Al-Haqqah 69:23

Qutufuha (its fruits) is the plural of qitf, with a kasra on the qaf, which refers to what is harvested from fruits. Some added [the meaning of] "speedily [harvested]," as if that were because it is related to the word qatf, with a fatha on the qaf, which is the infinitive (masdar) of qatafa (to pick). They did not consider qutufuha to be a plural of the infinitive, because it is not common for an infinitive to be pluralized.

Regarding the word of the Exalted, Daniyah (near/low-hanging): that is, they are close. A man may reach them while he is standing, as Al-Bara’ ibn ‘Azib, may Allah be pleased with him, said. Some have said that the standing, the sitting, and the reclining [person] can all reach them with their mouths directly from the tree. Based on this, it is permissible to consider the statement of Al-Bara’ as an example [rather than a limitation].

'Abd ibn Humayd recorded from Qatadah that he said: "They have drawn near, so neither distance nor thorns keep their hands away from them." He interpreted the closeness here as the ease of reaching them.
